The Cronut®, a pastry that has taken the foodie world by storm, having been named by Time magazine as one of the best inventions of 2013, is back in Hong Kong for a very limited time in celebration of its birthday month this May.
Invented by award-winning chef Dominique Ansel, the dangerously alluring love child of a doughnut and a croissant showcases flaky, buttery layers of pastry that are rolled in sugar, filled with cream and glazed.
The exclusive Hong Kong Cronut® ($48) is filled with chrysanthemum honey ganache and homemade blood peach jam and will only be available from 12–30 May.
Being true to the Dominique Ansel Bakery ethos, this limited-edition flavour will never be repeated again, here or elsewhere, so make sure to grab a few before these scrumptious discs spin out of Hong Kong!
