Quiero Más means “I want more”, and that’s how we felt when we said goodbye to FoFo by El Willy. It was a firm favourite of ours – the sangria, the tapas, the rooftop… so many different types of dinners were had there over the 10 years they were open. Now, the space will live again and the sangria will return!

Quiero Más is the debut project by newly formed Silver OAK Group. It’s a modern Mediterranean bar and restaurant, placing a stylish spotlight on the cuisines and eateries of southern Europe, from Spain’s tapas bars, to Italy’s trattorias, to Greece’s tavernas, aiming to impress today’s adventurous “cuisineers”.
The 3,000-square-foot location at M88 in Central offers many distinct places to relax, with each area providing a different experience. Prop up the feature bar in the middle of the dining room for a cocktail, draught beer or glass of cava or adjourn to the adjacent candlelit cocktail lounge for pre- (and post-) dinner drinks. And, finally, a private-dining table is available (with a tailor-made menu if you need it!)
EDIT Sept 2021: The liquor license is in, and the bar is open!
Food preview at Quiero Más
The food menu has been designed by Spanish chef Alex Fargas of La Paloma (and formerly FoFo) to offer a beautiful blend of Mod-Med flavours and textures in dishes the likes of lobster à la Louie (Boston lobster in vichyssoise), a luxurious homage to the creator of the famed soup, Louie Diat. There will be succulent, meaty king scallop escabeche, marinated delicately in a lemongrass and roasted shallot dressing on avocado purée, and the very unique Mod-Mad-Mary aged lamb shoulder glazed in chocolate. We are assured there will be plenty of lighter and vegetarian dishes too.

The liquor line-up seems just as impressive, headlined by handcrafted gins and gin cocktails. Sangria will be back, and we are warned to expect an “extravagant modern presentation”!
