As Hong Kong continues to grapple with even more challenging times during the seemingly never-ending COVID pandemic, we’d like to give a shout-out to Eaton HK for putting community first.

At the boutique hotel’s Gascoigne Road entrance in Jordan, there is now an eye-catching community food pantry stocked with essential non-perishable food items – dried noodles, cooking oil, rice and the like – that are free to those in need. This very worthy initiative is a partnership with Give n Take, a community food-shelf project organised by local NGOs. Eaton HK has also become a dedicated drop-off point for Give n Take to further distribute donations across Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon.

To go along with feeding the body, the community’s mind will be nourished through the installation of a community library in the hotel’s lobby. Members of the public are asked to donate their used books here, and visitors are able to take away as many books as they like for an unspecified period of time.

Mind + body – we need to focus on both to achieve wellness.
