Opened during the pandemic on Wo On Lane in Central, Big JJ Seafood Hotpot, with its tongue-in-cheek tag line of “Noisy, Rude, Overrated”, has reached cult status with hotpot lovers at dinnertime, offering a fun party vibe alongside its signature soup made with pork bone, knuckle, and clam, fresh cuts of local “yellow” beef, handmade meat patties, and more.

On Dec. 18, Big JJ is set to open a second branch at Central’s food hall of choice – BaseHall – here placing the focus on the delicious dishes that are unique to the cha chaan tengs of Hong Kong. This means we’ll soon be able to dig into piping-hot local plates like pork chop, fried egg, and soy and scallion sauce with rice, lamb-rib curry with rice, and prime beef with scallion oil and soy noodles.

Lunchtime at BaseHall is about to be kicked up a notch with the arrival of Big JJ!
