For the first time since Season 1 in 2019, MasterChef Australia is making a steady return to Hong Kong, filming three episodes in this city boasting a rich East-meets-West culinary scene.

MasterChef Australia judges Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli will make their way to Hong Kong, alongside a set of seasoned home cooks who will be presenting their skills.

The collaboration is a joint venture between the Hong Kong Tourism Board and Cathay Pacific.

“I’ve never been to Hong Kong, but I’ve been really interested in the place for a long time. That’s because I see the city’s array of food is off the charts: it’s a melting pot of different cultures, bold flavours, and one-of-a-kind ingredients,” says judge Andy Allen.

“Blending Michelin-starred restaurants with bustling street markets, it seems to have this world-class food culture going on. It’s so good that now myself, the other judges, and contestants can finally get amongst it this season.”

A press release by Paramount announced the exciting collaboration online yesterday (Mar. 4) with the title “Nǐ Hǎo Hong Kong! MasterChef Australia Goes International”. MasterChef Australia’s judges ought to say nei hou instead.

Catch the latest season on Australia’s 10 and 10 Play TV channels. Hong Kongers can watch the series online here.
