The MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2024 saw no surprises during the awards ceremony held on Mar. 14 at the glitzy Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau.

A record number of 79 restaurants in Hong Kong were awarded Michelin stars, with five new additions to the guide for Hong Kong in 2024, including Feuille, Mora, Racines, The Legacy House, and Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic.

Crowned as the most decorated Michelin-starred female chef in the world, Anne-Sophie Pic’s latest venture in Hong Kong serves as Anne-Sophie’s 11th Michelin star and a testament to the elegant and delicate French cuisine served at her second restaurant based in Asia.

Michelin Stars

It took only 117 days from soft-opening on Nov. 17, 2023 to yesterday’s MICHELIN Guide awards ceremony for Anne-Sophie to receive a Michelin star for her palatial fine-dining venue.

It can take chefs years to earn their stars and white Michelin coat. However, for some fine-dining restaurants worldwide, a crowning of Michelin success has been unusually quick, expedited for chefs in a matter of mere months or even weeks.

Here are four more restaurants earning the quickest Michelin stars worldwide.
