Cinco de Mayo might not be well known to most Hong Kongers, but it’s an important holiday in Mexico (and some might say even more popular in the USA amongst Mexican-Americans). Celebrated every year on May 5, It dates back to 1862, honouring Mexico’s victory over the French military forces of Napoleon III.

Parties, food, drinks, and music are the focus of Cinco de Mayo for most revellers these days, and Mexican eatery Te Quiero Mucho in Sheung Wan is getting in on the holiday action with its epic Cinco de Mayo Gran Fiesta on May 4 from 6PM till 10PM.

With tickets priced at HKD398 per person, entry to the fiesta gets you two-hour free-flow of TQM’s authentic tacos and drinks, including house wine, beer, and classic Mexican cocktails.

TQM is levelling up the celebration with a piñata, spinning wheel, face painting, themed photo zones, and even prizes up for grabs – all to the tune of Latin music to get your Cinco de Mayo vibe on.

Tickets can be purchased online.
