Dorsett Kai Tak, Hong Kong’s newest luxury hotel to open in recent months, is welcoming Siete Ocho into its residences, a fusion of Spanish and Sichuan flavours.

Quite possibly the only Spanish-Sichuan restaurant in the world, the fine-casual eatery is located on the hotel’s second floor and promises diners “to be transported to a world where the culinary delights of Spain and Sichuan collide, allowing you to experience these two distinct cultures with a fresh new perspective.”

The restaurant serves customers daily from 6:30AM to 10PM and is noticeably airy, as is seen in the rendering shared on the hotel’s website. The interior features wooden and Mediterranean design elements befitting the partially European direction of the venue.

Details remain a secret about the menu and culinary direction, specifically how Spanish tapas will clash with the fiery ma la flavours of Sichuan cuisine. The website contains just two pictures of potential dishes: lobster tail served atop a deep-fried bao and a paella seemingly made with preserved sausage and meat.
