Opened just over a year ago in Sheung Wan, cosy eatery MâmAmis has continued to bowl us over with its spot-on Vietnamese flavours mixed with a touch of French flair.

The restaurant’s new late-night street-food menu, available on Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30PM, brings Vietnam’s street-food culture front and centre with a diverse assortment of 18 newly unveiled dishes.

We love the sounds of the turmeric fish cake dry noodles (HKD88), shaking beef with fried egg (HKD98), and fishball noodle soup (HKD88), which deliver amped-up savouriness alongside reasonable pricing.

Grilled skewers are another popular street-food option in Vietnam, and MâmAmis is now dishing out the likes of chicken or beef skewers (HKD118/4pcs), pork meatball skewers (HKD118/6pcs), and chargrilled oysters (HKD68 each).

And not to worry – if a Vietnamese street-food dining experience for you isn’t complete without a banh mi, MâmAmis’ house banh mi (HKD98) delivers a classic version of this ultimate Vietnamese sarnie.
