Halloween is one of Hong Kong’s favourite festivals, challenging those who are participating to go crazy with costumes and makeup. Many can be seen floating around Lan Kwai Fong and Tsim Sha Tsui to flaunt their new, temporary identities for one night.

Restaurants have come out to share some special Halloween-themed eats and meals to celebrate the week-long festival in the city. Read below for some inspiration on how to eat whilst you party at the end of October.

Yes, it might be getting somewhat cooler, but it is worth it to visit Shari Shari across their four locations in Hong Kong to try their special Halloween Kakigori, dressed in spooky purple, yellow, and black colours. The Kakigori itself consists of orange pumpkin syrup, purple sweet potato foam, coconut syrup, Hokkaido red beans, cookie crumbs, oreo, and pumpkin seeds. It is an amalgamation of sweet and spooky! The Kakigori is available from now until Oct. 31.

Halloween Pumpkin Mystery Fest at Congress Plus

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre may not be the first place to enjoy Halloween in the city, but their Halloween Pumpkin Mystery Fest themed dinner buffet is one of the festival’s biggest celebrations. Available from now to Oct. 31, their candied pumpkin, squid ink spiked cuttlefish balls, ghostly pepperoni pizza, and chicken nuggets in vampire dip, mini Mummy dogs, and green tea one-eyed boy madeleines are among a massive spread of delicious themed bites to enjoy in the massive restaurant. The buffet spread starts from HKD458 for children and HKD758 for adults.

Halloween Spooky Shake at Burger Circus

Soho’s all-American burger shack is celebrating Halloween with a Spooky Shake (HKD98) available at the restaurant from Oct. 21-31. The milkshake features a blend of Oreos, thick cream, chocolate powder, whipped cream, and caramel sauce. Shots will be given to any customers dining in full costume on Oct. 31. Burger Circus only accepts walk-in dining.

Halloween Late Night Arcade at Zuma

On Oct. 26, Zuma is hosting a special Halloween edition of their Yashoku Night brunch from 7:30PM to 9:30PM prior to a big party hosted until late on Saturday night. For the price of HKD1,688 per person, guests can order unlimited starters, cold dishes, sushi and sashimi, tempura, two main courses, and free flow champagne, sake, and beer. Stick around after 9:30PM to enjoy the music and dancing too.

Gado-Shita Night Brunch at Yurakucho

Yurakucho in Soho are celebrating their inaugural Gado-Shita Night Brunch in time for Halloween on Oct. 26. The free-flow food package includes a selection of tempura, sashimi and sushi, maki rolls, and a choice of main courses for HKD298. Free-flow drinks packages for 90-minutes can be added for HKD198. DJs will be pumping music all-night long till 2AM.
