Once occupied by a Tsui Wah location, 2 Cafe chan chaan teng chain is moving into one of Central’s longest-running derelict sites sitting opposite Central Market.

After Tsui Wah closed its location on Des Voeux Road Central in early 2021, boarding went up and left the site empty for three years, until 2 Cafe, also owned by Tsui Wah Group, is now set to fill up the site.

The rent has been reported at HKD500,000, a more than 50% cut of the original rent of HKD1.1 million for the location.

2 Cafe is popular for serving up traditional Hong Kong dishes with flair, including pineapple bun with butter, red bean frappé, ice pineapple frappé, BLT pineapple bun sandwich, and tomato beef macaroni with sunny-side up egg.
