The HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair is making a landmark return on Nov. 7–9 to unite local and international winters, spirits producers and traders in exploring the finest liquor and beverage offerings.

Hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), this year’s fair will feature a diverse range of wines from both old and new-world regions, along with whisky, sake, Chinese baijiu, spirits from around the world, and various other varieties.

The 2024 edition of the fair will seek to promote the wine and spirits industry’s comprehensive development, including wine education, investment, accessories, and equipment & services.

This year’s ‘Friends of Wines’ starry exhibition joins the pack in a thrilling schedule to deliver snacks and food products to visitors and balance the abundance of great wine and spirits, whereas the ‘Chinese Trend’ showcases the strength of China’s distillery heritage and unique wine making technique.

The HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair will continue with the hybrid model, ‘EXHIBITION+’, which integrates online-and-offline trade show formats. The online business matching platform, Click2Match, aims to help businesses to connect industry partners proactively.

Fair highlights this year include the debut of ‘Sommeliers’ Picks,’ featuring an array of wines selected by esteemed sommeliers including Mr. Arnaud Bardary MS, Mr. Carlito Chiu, and Reeze Choi, the first Chinese finalist and the 2nd runner-up in the A.S.I. Best Sommelier of the World Competition 2023. The ‘Sommeliers Forum’ by them shares the insights of sommeliers on the potentials of sustainable wines.

Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair

Last year’s HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair saw over 7,000 buyers in attendance from 49 countries and regions. A new dedicated zone “Wine Fiesta” will be introduced this year on Nov. 9 to engage local wine lovers to enjoy the strength of vinology.

“Every wine has a unique story behind it, and this wine fair is a perfect opportunity to share those stories with attendees, while creating a deeper connection between the buyers and each brand.”

And if you’re thinking about attending, the fair is bustling with specialist knowledge. Hong Kong has an abundance of experienced fine wine merchants with specialist knowledge and international wine trade experience. As a wine trading and distribution center for the Asia Pacific region, Hong Kong wine merchants have also developed a strong network for re-export in different Southeast Asia regions.
