Chef Shun Sato has launched CENSU CREW, a new restaurant group consolidating three Hong Kong venues and one restaurant in Japan to reimagine flavours and styles in Asia.

Named after the chef’s namesake restaurants in Tokyo and Hong Kong, CENSU CREW is comprised of CENSU Tokyo, CENSU Hong Kong, ENISHI, and Golden Gip, “championing a core ethos of celebrating the five senses while fostering community and artistic expression,” according to a spokesperson for the group.

CENSU first landed in Hong Kong in 2021, followed by the expansion of chef Shun’s Hong Kong story with ENISHI in 2023 led by chefs Toru Takano and Ami Hamasaki. During a six-month pop-up, and set to officially open later this year in Central, Golden Gip is the fourth member of the group, heralding Korean flavours by chef Nigel Kim.

The launch of CENSU CREW establishes the restaurants within a lifestyle hub, exploring events and experiences beyond food and into the worlds of art and culture.
