Giando in Wan Chai has climbed to 15th place in 50 Top Italy, a leading guide ranking the world’s 50 best Italian restaurants.

During the recent awards ceremony held in Milan, chef Gianni Caprioli rose four places in the annual rankings, claiming the title as the only Hong Kong-based Italian restaurant to finish in the top 50.

50 Top Italy praises chef Gianni’s mission to bring Italian flavours to Hong Kong in the form of colourful appetisers, including the restaurant’s signature carpaccio, burrata, and minestrone dishes, and source regional recipes for the eatery’s pasta, meat, and seafood plates. The guide also celebrates Giando’s focus on the traditional Italian desserts of tiramisu and gelato.
