On the menu until May 7, HUE Dining’s latest teatime partnership is with the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the home of the restaurant, where it is nestled on the first floor.
The museum’s new special exhibition “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Cézanne and Renoir: Looking at the World – Masterpieces from the Musée de l’Orangerie and the Musée d’Orsay” is the inspiration for HUE’s Apples & Oranges tea set (HKD680 for 2), in particular the Impressionist artists’ still-life masterpieces abundant with fruits and flowers.
Against a backdrop of wall-to-wall harbour views at the afternoon tea specialist, you can indulge in the likes of tea-smoked duck-leg slider and scallop ceviche on the savoury side and sweet treats of hojicha tiramisu and apple tarte tatin.
If you fancy yourself an artist, be sure to take part in the month-long still-life art competition sponsored by vivo, with the chance to win a vivo x ZEISS smartphone. HUE has helpfully arranged an interactive fruit-bowl set-up near the restaurant’s entrance where you can experiment with your photography.
To enter the contest, your artwork must be uploaded to a public Instagram account and shared with three friends, along with the hashtag #vivoX200ProHK, by Feb. 17. You’ll also need to follow and tag @huedining and @vivo_hongkong when submitting your entry. Winners will be announced on Feb. 28 on HUE’s Instagram page.
This afternoon tea set can be booked on weekends and public holidays from 3:30PM till 5:30PM.
