Singular Concepts restaurant group have named Maikal Gurung as their new beverage manager. Maikal has previously worked as bar manager for rum bar The Daily Tot.

The mixologist began his Hong Kong drinks journey at the former MOI Thai, Malaysian & Vietnamese Cuisine and later at Lobster Bar and Grill at the Island Shangri-la hotel, before taking the reins at The Daily Tot in October 2021.

“Maikal is dedicated to uplifting the food and beverage landscape, inspiring others to appreciate the intricacies of spirits, and creating unforgettable experiences,” reads an Instagram post announcing his promotion to head the group’s cocktail space.

Maikal is set to invigorate ELLA’s beverage offerings with a new soon-to-launch cocktail menu.
