Ah, summertime – in Hong Kong, this is the season synonymous with high temperatures and even higher humidity, days out at the beach, and – a must for foodies – barbecue!

La Favorita might not be an obvious choice for a summer barbecue, but all that’s changed with the launch of the lively trattoria’s BBQ Experience menu (HKD498 pp), available all day on Saturdays, from brunch to dinner, going forwards.

With an emphasis on simplicity and fresh, high-quality ingredients as they do it in Italy, flame-kissed meat and seafood star on La Favorita’s Saturday BBQ menu, and that means Wagyu striploin, bone-in rib-eye, lamb chops, salmon fillet, whole sea bass, and whole Boston lobster (+HKD128).

Completing this Italian-style BBQ feast are starters of burrata and fennel salad to share, a choice of green plin ravioli with spinach and ricotta or cheese wheel al tartufo fragrant with truffle for the pasta course, prawn, Italian sausage, and vegetable skewers, and summery sharing desserts of pistachio cannoli and raspberry semifreddo.

For those who don’t want to commit to the full tasting menu, La Favorita’s newly unveiled BBQ dishes can also be ordered à la carte.
