Marrying two of Hong Kong’s most cherished bakery items – egg waffles and pineapple buns – Chicken Egg Boy is a viral newcomer to Sheung Wan’s F&B scene founded by Xu Shan Charitable Foundation, with all proceeds donated to the local charity in order to aid the underprivileged of Hong Kong.

The special pineapple bun egg waffle (HKD59) is this funky café’s fusion bestseller, but Chicken Egg Boy’s menu also features a range of creative locally inspired egg waffle flavours in addition to the original (HKD25), including sausage bun (HKD39) and luncheon meat and egg (HKD39).

For a true Hong Kong fix, you can pair your egg waffle with hot or cold milk tea, lemon tea, yuenyeung, or lemon water in a HK-style combo (HKD45/HKD47).

Open Monday through Saturday from 12PM to 8PM, you’ll need to keep a watchful eye on Chicken Egg Boy’s Instagram page to make sure the coveted pineapple bun egg waffles are not sold out before you make your way there.
