Often referred to as the “Demon Chef,” Alvin Leung, well known for his creative panache at two-Michelin-starred restaurant Bo Innovation, has opened a cha chaan teng in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Located in the neighbourhood’s Koreatown area, MD Cafe brings the chef’s funky flair to Hong Kong café classics, including instant noodle dishes, baked rice plates, Cantonese-style steak dishes, and locally loved beverages.

The cha chaan teng carries a modern side with American diner-style tables and cushioned seating, reflecting Alvin’s fusion style, with to-scale images of the chef, pictured with a judging face, featured throughout!

Signature dishes on the menu include the corned beef and egg sandwich (HKD35), fermented pepper and mushroom chicken rice (HKD78), MD smash pork chop baked rice (HKD98), and soufflé French toast (HKD42).
