Barkada has announced that its final day at its current location in Central will be May 15 (tomorrow).

“We dreamed big, taking over this amazing ground-floor space in Central to bring you a unique blend of traditional and modern Filipino flavours,” co-founder Jen Balisi shared on an Instagram reel posted on May 13 announcing the news.

Jen commented on the location’s high rent and market challenges as reasons for the shop’s closure. She confirmed that Barkada plans to relocate to a smaller, more manageable venue nearby.

“This means lower rent, better air conditioning, and more affordable prices for you,” she followed.

To celebrate, the Filipino restaurant will host a final block party on May 15 under the escalators, featuring the debut of a special Manila Dubai chocolate cookie.
