London’s wildly popular Duck & Waffle will be landing at ifc mall in Central this autumn 2019, taking over the space occupied previously by simplylife OPEN KITCHEN.

We’re not sure if Duck & Waffle Hong Kong will be open 24/7 like its London big bro (we can dream, right?), but we can definitely expect the same playful British-inspired cuisine that Londoners have gone mad for since its opening in 2011 – like the smoked eel croquettes, spicy ox cheek doughnut and cereal milk custard, with the star of the show being the perfect sweet-meets-savoury dish of duck leg confit waffle crowned with a fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup.

The all-day-dining menu in London includes bigger sharing dishes such as roasted plaice with beurre noisette, sea buckthorn and sea vegetables and whole roasted chicken with ratte potatoes, wild mushrooms and truffle. We hope Executive Chef Daniel Barbosa plans to offer group menus in Hong Kong, featuring Duck & Waffle signature dishes – ideal for when you just can’t decide.

Creative cocktails also take top billing at Duck and Waffle, and we’ve got our taste buds primed for the Ristretto Negroni and Black Cherry Godfather.

Could Duck & Waffle be the hottest opening of 2019?
