Eight chefs presenting a stellar six-course menu for one night only – Foodie is inviting our readers and supporters of the hospitality industry to r é n In the Kitchen Charity Night on Wednesday Sep. 2 at The Mira Hong Kong, a night of gastronomy and charity co-organised by Foodie and r é n.
In our continued 15-year-long mission to inspire our readers, Foodie joins r é n for this special night to support Hong Kong’s disadvantaged youths seeking opportunities to elevate their career in the food and beverage and hospitality industries.
Founded in 2023, the social enterprise works with Hong Kong’s top restaurants and chefs to provide long-term employment for the city’s disadvantaged and underprivileged youths. r é n’s mission aligns closely with our ethos to motivate the next generation of hospitality staff.
Foodie and r é n are joined by a star-studded line-up, featuring Olivier Elzer (L’Envol), Rania Hatoum (R.H Fine Dining), Mitsuru Konishi (Plaisance by Mauro Colagreco), David Lai (Neighborhood), Sebastian Lorenzi (Té Bo), and Loïc Portalier (Louise), with Alexis Watrin (The Mira Hong Kong) and Kylie Yang (ZS Hospitality) crafting the dessert course.
Each chef will be tasked with crafting the menu enjoyed following a cocktail reception, before an auction and silent auction close the night off with experiences not found anywhere else.

The night will begin with the cocktail reception from 6:30PM to 7:15PM, before dinner begins at 7:30PM.
Proceeds from ticket sales and auctions items sold on the night will be donated to the r é n Community Foundation, funding the social enterprises’ ongoing humanitarian efforts with work experience programmes and charity events.
