2. Conspiracy Chocolate’s pistachio chocolate mooncakes
Diverging from your typical lava custard fillings and beige shells, chocolate makers Conspiracy Chocolate are returning their hit mooncake products: inside is packed with a mushy pistachio paste and raspberry sauce, encased in 64% single-origin dark chocolate.

4. Patisserie La Lune’s Opanchu Usagi lava custard mooncakes
Tamagotchi’s familiar character Opanchu Usagi, adored in Japan, revels in its new physical form with cutesy lava custard mooncakes sold this summer. Featuring four pieces, the set comes with a knitted cloth bag detailed with a cute image of Opanchu Usagi and the rabbit-themed mooncakes.

5. JIJA’s Yunnan-inspired mooncakes
Cheffe Vicky Lau’s Yunnan restaurant JIJA looks within the southwestern Chinese province for flavours to inject into mooncakes, namely red date & walnut with dark chocolate and black rose & honey with red bean. The four mooncake pieces are presented in a orange, purple, and beige-coloured satchel-shaped box reflecting JIJA’s design.

6. Orbis’ mini jasmine oolong tea custard mooncakes
Hong Kong-based charity Orbis supporting global sight-saving programmes have launched a mooncake line-up this year raising funds for their eye care initiatives. Their mini jasmine oolong tea custard joins favoured flavours together with a mochi centre and egg custard shell complementing the tea touch.

Swept up in Hotel ICON’s durian mania, this Mid-Autumn Festival welcomes snow skin Musang King to the Tsim Sha Tsui East hotel. 8. Matchali’s matcha lava mooncakes
Matchali teams up with cake brand YYY House of Cakes to launch the café’s first Mid-Autumn Festival treat, match lava mooncakes. Each mooncake in the set of four is made using Japanese-style pastry and a lava centre, both injected with suitable levels of matcha for a not-too-sweet taste.
