Chicken Egg Boy, famously viral for its pineapple bun egg waffle fusion dessert last spring, is back with a new twist, the pineapple bun egg waffle with char siu (HKD98).
Available at the Sheung Wan nook till further notice, sweet and savoury char siu from nearby Luk On Kui is sandwiched into each bubble for your eating pleasure. A dash of lemon is added to the waffle to balance the meaty fat.
The “Sorrowful Pineapple Bun Egg Waffle” arrives in collaboration with Stephen Chow’s comic book IP Shin Shin Legends. Only 30 egg waffles are on offer daily, so you best be quick!
The original pineapple bun egg waffle earned Chicken Egg Boy faithful recreations in over eight countries across Asia and beckoned two-hour queues when it launched in Hong Kong in April 2025.
