British pizza behemoth Pizza Express is taking on the iconic dishes of Hong Kong with its new “Flavours of Hong Kong” menu, a partnership with home-grown sauce brand Lee Kum Kee.

Up front and centre on the fusion menu is the “real” pineapple dough balls (HKD62/6pcs), a riff on Pizza Express’ signature baked dough balls starter. The golden, crispy dough balls feature a crust akin to Hong Kong’s beloved pineapple bun and are paired with mascarpone butter for dipping, mimicking the cha chaan teng staple.

The playful East-meets-West flair continues with the likes of the Hainan chicken pizza (HKD166), Singapore noodles pizza (HKD198), and satay braised beef spaghetti (HKD168) for heartier bites.

On the drinks side, diners can sip on a classic Black Cow (HKD48) offering Coca-Cola topped with a hefty scoop of chocolate ice cream, whilst the French dough with butter (HKD68) is a funky dessert showcasing the brand’s dough balls in fused French toast format drizzled with butter, condensed milk, and peanut butter.
