October is the month when festive celebrations kick into full swing. For us, Oktoberfest trumps Halloween in terms of the delicious German food and drink available throughout Hong Kong.

Hong Kong’s top Oktoberfest events in 2025
1. Central Market x Stormies Oktoberfest

The host of this year’s epic Foodie Forks awards ceremony, Central Market tops our list of Oktoberfest festivities in 2025, extending the jubilation for almost a month. Central Market tenants Chef’s Market and Stormies have teamed up to dish out classic Oktoberfest dishes like pretzel with Munich cold cuts and beer cheese spread, roasted pork knuckle, grilled Nuremberg sausage, and apple strudel alongside foamy steins of Löwenbräu and Franziskaner Weissbier. Entertaining Hong Kongers for three decades, German band Die Notenhobler is back with a bang to headline the event.
New this year is the The Kid’s & Family Oktoberfest experience on Sundays. Little ones will be kept entertained by the game booths, arts and crafts workshops, and face painting on offer. Children’s tickets (under 1.3m tall) cost HKD100 and come with a mini burger and fries, gelato, juice, stein-style souvenir mug, and Oktoberfest hat.

2. Kerry Hotel Docktoberfest

Every year, we look forward to Kerry Hotel ’s month-long Oktoberfest event, Docktoberfest. The celebration takes place at the hotel’s harbourfront food hall Dockyard, transformed into a traditional Bavarian beer tent on Fridays and Saturdays. Typical Oktoberfest games are a big part of this fun-filled event, including a beer-drinking contest and stein-holding competition, with live music on board from 7PM too. When your tummy starts rumbling, you can dig into whole pork knuckle, pork schnitzel, German sausage platters, and plenty of Löwenbräu to wash it all down.

3. FRITES Oktoberfest

This year’s annual Oktoberfest party at FRITES is a one-day-only event offering five hours of free-flow draught Löwenbräu, Prosecco, house spirits, house red and white wine, soft drinks, and juices. You’ll need some quality German food to keep you on your toes alongside the bottomless alcohol, and that’s why FRITES is also serving up a special à-la-carte menu of Deutsch delicacies. These bites include a pretzel tower (HKD75), bratwurst and sauerkraut (HKD255), and Eisbein (HKD295), or slow-roasted pork knuckle with potato dumplings and braised red cabbage.

4. Heimat Oktoberfest

For a more sophisticated Oktoberfest dining experience, Heimat, run by renowned German chef Peter Find, should be a no-brainer. Chef Peter has used premium ingredients and refined cooking techniques to design an extensive à-la-carte menu of bona fide Bavarian fare that goes far beyond the standard pretzels and brews. Highlights include the Strammer Max (HKD148), a hearty open-faced sandwich of Black Forest ham and and fried egg atop toasted sourdough, truffle bockwurst (HKD98) veal and pork sausage, käsespätzle (HKD98), or hand-shaved egg noodles with caramelised onion and mountain cheese, and a cabbage roll (HKD148) stuffed with local heritage pork. There are six German beers up for sipping too.

5. BaseHall Oktoberfest

The fifth edition of BaseHall’s Oktoberfest shenanigans has got it all – a traditional keg-tapping ceremony to set the revelry in motion, a stein-holding competition with prizes galore, and a DJ and oompah band, guaranteeing jolly singalongs. Young Master Brewery’s exclusive Festbier can be paired with German-inspired snacks crafted by BaseHall’s wide array of global vendors.
