Brought to you in partnership with Vitasoy

Going plant based is a trend that’s gaining steam around the world, and there’s an especially loud call for it in the world of coffee. Coffee shops are increasing their choices of milk alternatives, which traditionally comprised soy and almond milks, to now include the widely popular oat milk.

Oat milk is a favourite of baristas for its texture that froths just like regular milk, and Vitasoy has launched its own oat milk, made from 100% Australian oats, proudly supporting Aussie farmers from only the highest-quality farms.

This oat milk is endorsed by the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA). The ASCA Australian Vitasoy Barista Championship in 2019 was also a good opportunity for Vitasoy to communicate with baristas. With a mild and balanced flavour, low sugar content (only 0.9g per 100g) and fewer calories than whole milk, Café for Baristas – Oat Milk froths with a silky microfoam and provides an even and natural taste that makes a wonderful complement to any cup of coffee.

In April 2019, Vitasoy was proud to be a part of HOFEX, Asia’s leading food and hospitality trade show, where the company introduced this new product to Hong Kong baristas and received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Later, this event was part of a campaign to encourage customers to request plant-based milk when ordering their favourite drinks at cafés in Hong Kong.
