Cantonese fine-dining restaurant Ming Court Wan Chai is setting a new standard for opulent and expensive dining in Hong Kong with a six-course chef’s table tasting menu costing a whopping HKD32,888 with pairings of Kweichow Moutai, China’s elite and lavish baijiu brand.
Designed by culinary director Tsang Chiu King and executive sous-chef Do Yiu Fung, the tasting menu features classic Cantonese dishes including double-boiled partridge soup, deep-fried crispy fish maw, steamed leopard coral grouper fillet, and braised Boston lobster in Singapore style.
Premium guests are granted the opportunity to pair the meal with two bottles of Moutai – either Kweichow Moutai Five Star 2012 or Kweichow Citic Jinling Edition Moutai 2017 for the first bottle, followed by a second bottle selected from the range of vintages dating from 2003 to 2009. Both bottles can max out at the price of HKD20,700.
The Chef’s Table Kweichow Moutai Symphony tasting menu is available from now until Mar. 31, 2024, with a minimum of six diners per reservation. This set menu is priced at HKD32,888 for six people.
