Fast-food aficionados in Hong Kong will recognise McDonald’s dominion over American burgers and fries in the city, something with which Burger King, a fan favourite in the States, cannot compete.
The hamburger fast-food restaurant chain, specialising in mammoth Whopper burgers and crispy fries, only operates two spots in the city, requiring a journey and a half to get to, at The Peak and the airport.
If you possess an insatiable desire for Burger King’s salty and juicy burgers, which no other burger can satisfy, you’ll want to make a trip up the Peak Tram, hike there, or take bus 15 or 15X from Central to The Peak Tower for skyline views paired with the chain’s chicken sandwiches, Whopper burgers, onion rings, fries, and more.
The journey to the Burger King location at Hong Kong International Airport is a bit more complicated. You’ll only have access to the restaurant if you are flying out of Hong Kong. Whilst we do not recommend purchasing a ticket just to try the American burgers in Terminal 1, we do suggest heading there right before your departing flight to get your fill.
