Since 1928, The Peninsula has hosted afternoon tea for the scone-, tea-, and dessert-loving public of Hong Kong. Inside The Lobby, the hotel’s spacious ground-floor dining space, eager foodies can enjoy their historic afternoon tea set (HKD918 for 2).

The oldest afternoon tea tradition still existing in Hong Kong, The Peninsula serves a slice of pickled history on their silver platters, with British treats enjoyed there for decades.

The set features a selection of finger sandwiches, such as salmon rillettes, prawn cocktail, and the very British cucumber sandwich. Signature afternoon tea pastries by the hotel include the vanilla rum baba and ginger-orange tartlet.

Pair up your raisin scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and wash everything down with Earl Grey, Darjeeling, citrus oolong tea, or any of the 11 teas available in The Peninsula’s tea collection.
