Oyster & Wine Bar’s Father’s Day seafood Sunday brunch
We go from land to sea at the Sheraton’s Oyster & Wine Bar, showcasing chef Oscar Chow’s elevated seafood-focused brunch menu on Father’s Day. Melody’s weekend brunch with Father’s Day negroni on the house
In addition to Melody’s signature weekend brunch menu, which includes 2.5 hours of free-flow Prosecco, wine, beer, and mocktails, chef Jamie Draper is gifting each dad with a complimentary negroni to soothe the soul. On the brunch menu, vibrant modern European sharing appetisers kick things off, from terrine campagnarde to burnt aubergine escabeche, followed by a choice of hearty main and dessert. Carna’s Father’s Day brunch menu and dinner specials
Clinching the Foodie Forks 2024 Readers’ Choice – Best Restaurant award, Italian nose-to-tail steakhouse Carna at the new Mondrian hotel is a must for meat lovers. This Festa del Papà, dads can dig into a family-style brunch feast that features unlimited antipasti and pasta selections, including black truffle beef tartare and beef carpaccio. Taking centre stage in the meal is Carna’s charcoal-grilled meat platter with lamb chops, Black Angus short ribs, and a choice of dad’s favourite steak, from M5 chuck flap to Carima rib-eye. The dessert – a fusion of zeppole and tiramisu – is sure to tickle the taste buds, Italiano style.
Should Dad prefer an evening meal, Carna is also offering three special à-la-carte dishes with Father’s Day in mind. There’s a decadent pasta dish of homemade rigatoni with beef tripe, black truffle, and Pecorino (HKD328), polenta with homemade beef and pork sausage, mushroom, and tomato sauce (HKD388), and the showstopping grilled whole rack of lamb (HKD1,288). Father’s Day celebrations get off to a cracking start with this chef’s table experience at The Upper House hotel’s modern Mediterranean restaurant Salisterra, where Michelin-starred chef Ricardo Chaneton of MONO has recently taken over as culinary adviser. In the restaurant’s stunning private dining room, chef Ricardo will be treating gourmands to a five-course menu that includes king crab, pan-seared foie gras, and roasted pigeon. These sumptuous dishes will be paired with five single-malt Scotch whiskies by The Macallan, ideal if your dad is a fan of a wee dram.
