Whether you’re jetting off for a quick weekend trip or find yourself returning home after a busy holiday in sweaty Hong Kong, make a visit to the hidden food court of Citygate Outlets in Tung Chung as your last stop before you take off.

The top-floor Food Opera at Citygate brings together nine food stalls spanning across Asia, including Thai, Japanese, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and Vietnamese restaurants.

Worthwhile spots to visit include Thai Chiu, a Thai noodle and rice shop, Pepper Lunch for sizzling beef plates, Little NanYang for Peranakan and Singaporean flavours, and Sai Kwan Jo Lo with its Bib Gourmand turnip cakes, doggie noodles, and dumplings.

More than 200 seats dot the seventh-floor food court, which stays open till 9:30PM on weekends and 9PM on weekdays. Our tip is to head there early and secure a table before you find your favoured aromatic flavours.

Tell your friends about the best meals they can find before they fly!
