The upcoming four-hands dinners by Fireside in Hong Kong and Restaurant AG in Stockholm are must-dos for steak lovers in the city.

Ranked number 1 in Greater China and Hong Kong (and 70 in the world) by the prestigious World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants, a list curated by London’s Uppercut Media House, Fireside excels in open-fire meat-grilling by chef Jaime Ortolá

The Hong Kong restaurant and chef have met their Swedish match with chef Martin Kjäll from Restaurant AG, which comes in at an impressive number 9 globally.

With only 30 seats available each night on Jun. 6, 7, and 8, the eight-course meat-centric dinner is set to be an exclusive occasion for the carnivores amongst us, part of The Rare Tour, a series of events at top steakhouses around the world organised by the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants.

The three-night-only menu (HKD2,480 pp) features meaty, umami highlights of Australian Stone Axe Wagyu slider with mushroom duxelles and Nordic XO, flamed Stone Axe Wagyu MB9+ with beef garum, bone marrow “Flintstone” with beef tartare, beer-braised onion, and caviar, and – the true star of the show – the signature AG Grand Cru Swedish Ayrshire SRB dry-aged rib-eye. Rare outside of Sweden, this cut is aged for 100-plus days with tallow to achieve unparalleled flavour and texture.
