If you didn’t know, Hong Kong is home to a replica of Noah’s Ark, the vessel housing the Judeo-Christian patriarch Noah, his family, and two each of all the world’s animals, escaping from a global flood in ancient times.
Opened in March 2009, many Hong Kongers might not be aware that this mammoth structure actually exists on Ma Wan (aka Park Island). Yet the building includes a hotel, shops, exhibitions about the flood – and the stylish Harvest Restaurant.
City-dwellers who have never ventured to this quaint island can finally find an excuse to host lunch or dinner at the eccentric restaurant, boasting striking panoramic views of the Tsing Ma Bridge and towering mountains of Lantau Island.
The restaurant offers a range of Western and Chinese dishes. Their seafood-focused buffet is a big hit with day-trippers to the Ark and restaurant.
Harvest Restaurant is open from 8AM till 5PM from Monday to Thursday, till 8:15PM on Friday, Sunday, and public holiday eves, and till 9:30PM on Saturday and public holidays.
