There are many reasons we look forward to cooler temperatures in Hong Kong, and at the top of this list is the opportunity to participate in outdoor events without sweating buckets.
This autumn and upcoming winter, one event that we’re most keen to check out is Pellicola Theatre Lounge’s recently unveiled al-fresco cinema series, held on the rooftop of heritage landmark Sophia Loren House in Wan Chai – a fitting tribute to the Italian film star. The rooftop space screams “cosy,” decked out with vintage-style director chairs, rattan sofas, chaise lounges, and fairy lights.
Screening both classic and contemporary films from October until the spring 2025 season, Pellicola’s outdoor movie experience is set to take place every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 8:15PM (blackout dates apply). Tickets cost HKD150 per person and are inclusive of wireless headphone rental, one non-alcoholic or alcoholic drink, and bottomless popcorn.
