Chinesology has become Hong Kong’s first Cantonese fine-dining restaurant to launch a halal-certified dinner menu amidst a wave of F&B establishments catering to Muslim travellers and local Hong Kongers.

The eight-course halal-friendly dinner tasting menu is priced at HKD1,388 per person. The menu includes dishes of caramelised lotus root, golden bean curd with seaweed, sautéed lobster, roasted beef with 20-year-old tangerine peel, and smoked free-range chicken. Reservations must be made three days in advance.

The ifc-based restaurant uses dedicated kitchenware and kitchen areas to prepare and cook the halal dishes for the dinner menu.

A growing number of halal-friendly restaurants can be found in all corners of the city.
