For those seeking a unique Chinese New Year dining experience this year, Hong Kong’s leading red sauce restaurant FINI’s in Soho is hosting a two-week-long Chinese-meets-Italian hotpot experience.
From Jan. 22 till Feb. 2, gather with your foodie friends and head to FINI’s to indulge in a hotpot delight that brings New York-Italian flavours to the pot with decadent ingredients to dunk and devour.
Three Italian-inspired hotpot sets are available to book during the festive Lunar Year period. The Bronx (HKD708) features both Sunday Gravy and Wedding soup bases, bringing Italian sausage, flat iron steak, and mini pork meatballs to play. Soak up the salty goodness with garlic breadsticks and spaghetti.
Seafood lovers can rejoice with The Chelsea (HKD788), which sees spicy red and white wine clam broths inviting fresh clams, shrimp, mussels, and Pacific halibut to be soaked and swallowed. The set comes with garlic breadsticks and linguine.
The Brooklyn (HKD688) offers a vegetarian touch to the dining promotion with two-parter Funghi Tartufo and Wedding soup bases alongside broccolini, baby choy sum, crimini mushroom, grilled zucchini, and sweetcorn. Garlic breadsticks and fettuccine topped with umami butter are paired for a carby touch.
Beyond the hotpot sets, soup bases and meat, seafood, and vegetable platters can be ordered à la carte.
The spectacular Carne Platter (HKD580) is a meaty hit packed with flat iron steak, mini pork meatballs, sweet Italian sausage, lemon and herb chicken, and slow-braised tripe.
Order the Seafood Platter (HKD580) for a sea-fresh selection of little-neck clams, jumbo prawns, blue mussels, Pacific halibut, and baby calamari. The Verdure Platter (HKD350) is suitable for those seeking a veggie touch to their hotpot dinner, coming with broccolini, baby choy sum, crimini mushroom, zucchini, and sweetcorn.
All the hotpot bases and individual sets come with Italian-inspired condiments, such as soy balsamic, salsa verde, and pickled chilli.
FINI’s is offering beverage packages with their hotpot meals, including beer buckets (HKD180) and a two-hour free-flow option (HKD228) that comes with Prosecco, house wine, and spirits.
