Sometimes the big portions, saturated oils, and heavy salt in our meals can get too much each and every week. When we are gasping for some quality greens and health food, Hong Kong may not inspire as the best city to enjoy some low-fat-and-salt and heavy-on-greens food.

However, we have done our research and present to you the places you can source a quality salad, packed with nutritious vegetables, low-fat proteins, grains galore, and promising you a temporary relinquish from your normal diet!

Sour Dough

The eponymous healthy sandwich and pastry shop serves excellently in the sourdough department, but it’s the Wan Chai restaurants’ powerful vegan salad section, bright in tangy flavours and choice of vegetables, that deserves the attention. Each salad portion is priced at HKD25 per 100g and can pack up to four salads in one box. We recommend their sweet and spicy couscous salad, fregola green salad, and colourful bounty for a good balance.

We always go for their Banyan salad, packed with grilled tempeh, fried eggplant, hummus, spiced tofu and long beans-heavy Musella, or their Cedar, with avocado, cabbage, roasted pumpkin, and chipotle sauce.
