For a deliciously novel night out, we suggest booking in at Le Petit Chef, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong’s newly launched dinner-theatre experience.
From now until the end of June, Le Petit Chef, the world’s smallest chef at just 6cm tall, is set to take Hong Kong diners on a 3D culinary journey to gather and prepare the finest ingredients for his French menu.
Like magic, a virtual story is projected onto the tabletop by visually mapping the dining table, plates, and cutlery. The captivating 3D effect is hologram-like and enhanced by themed music and props.
The mini chef’s Le Grand Chef menu (HKD1,700 pp) showcases five courses of fine-dining French delicacies, including a burrata and heirloom tomato starter, bouillabaisse, lobster en papillote, steak au poivre, and vanilla crème brûlée. The Le Petit Chef menu (HKD1,350 pp) replaces the lobster dish with duck-leg confit. There’s also a vegetarian menu (HKD1,350 pp) available for plant-based diners.
As the Le Petit Chef dining experience is sure to be a big hit with kids too, children aged between 6 and 12 years old can order the Junior Chef menu (HKD675 pp), which features the same dishes as the Le Petit Chef menu.
The Le Petit Chef English-language shows have two seatings (6–8PM and 8:30–10:30PM) on Tuesday through Friday and three seatings on Saturday (12:30–2:30PM, 6–8PM, and 8:30–10:30PM) and Sunday (12:30–2:30PM, 3:30–5:30PM, and 7:30–9:30PM).
