Hong Kong is experiencing a mini nostalgic flashback episode this week with the return of the BunNANA ice cream coming to convenience stores across the city.

The realistic banana ice lolly is being sold at select Circle K and 7-Eleven stores, retailing for HKD10 for one or HKD16 for two.

Those who grew up in Hong Kong and enjoyed the ice cream from the early 2010s (BunNANA was introduced to the Hong Kong and Chinese markets in March 2012) can exactly remember how to eat this frozen treat.

The apple-jelly- and banana-flavoured outer layer of the banana ice cream can be bitten at the top and peeled off to reveal the vanilla ice cream inside.
