Cinta-J, a popular Filipino restaurant and karaoke den in the centre of Wan Chai’s bar neighbourhood, is closing on Sep. 30.

The 42-year-old restaurant gained notoriety within the Filipino community with their classic homestyle Filipino dishes, alongside Indonesian and Malaysian bites, cocktails, and karaoke.

In an announcement yesterday (Aug. 25) on Facebook, the restaurant shared that “with heartfelt gratitude for your loyal support over 42 years, we must sadly announce that our journey is coming to an end.”

“Our lease has concluded, and the landlord is reclaiming the property. We will close our doors on September 30, 2025. [We are] deeply thankful for the memories and community we’ve built together.”

Cinta-J is well known for their all-day happy hour from Monday through Thursday with HKD50 pints and discounts on select cocktails.
