The team behind Big JJ Seafood Hotpot appear to have a new hit on their hands with the recent launch of Jus on Soho’s Staunton Street. Sat opposite PMQ, Jus seats just a handful of diners, and queuing is already a given.

Open Tuesday through Sunday with service from 12PM to 2:30PM and 6PM to 8PM, the modern and minimalistic new spot, now in a “trial run run” according to Jus’ Instagram profile, offers just three noodle items on its menu.

First up is the indulgent noodles mixed with beef fat soy sauce (HKD128), also featuring beef char siu, beef tongue, and beef tendon, drawing rave reviews.

We have our eyes on the Sichuan-spiced beef dandan noodles (HKD98), one of our ultimate comfort-food dishes. There’s also the vegetable dandan noodles (HKD98), here swapping fried mushrooms for the minced beef.

Jus’ beverage list is as simple as its decor and food; you can wash your noodles down with either an Earl Grey lemon tea (HKD28) or espresso tonic (HKD42).
