We are clearly in the second wave of a local gelato fandom – call it a Creamy Renaissance – following last year’s rush of shops opening in Central and Soho. This year, we can add the launch of Messina’s third location in Wan Chai to the mix.
Joining its original Soho location and a second at The Peak, Messina will be opening its doors in the coming months in Star Street Precinct, splitting Greek restaurant Artemis & Apollo in half, with 9–11 Moon Street taking up the two Black Sheep brands.
Construction is ongoing and no concrete details have been shared on the soft or official opening dates. We will of course be here again to let you know when Wan Chai finally earns Messina’s presence.
