Those of us who are fit and healthy with no recent travel history may want to take a break from the kitchen at home for a change of scenery and some good eats. And there are no better eats in the Kong than those offered by the Black Sheep Restaurants portfolio, which all strictly comply with the government’s COVID-19 protocols and are currently operating at half-capacity, seating tables up to four.

The Black Series: Now or Never will run from 13–19 April, showcasing greatest-hit dishes from 20 Black Sheep spots. For guests who want to keep their time away from home to a minimum, the menus are designed to be served between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the restaurant.

The menus are seriously good value, meaning you can have lunch at Carbone – including an assortment of
antipasti, spicy rigatoni vodka, chicken Parm, salmon oreganata and Nutella gelato – for just $208 per person or dinner at Michelin-starred New Punjab Club for under $400 a head.

Black Sheep co-founder Syed Asim Hussain stated, “While delivery helps a little and we appreciate everyone who is supporting us this way, it is not going to be enough to save us or any other independent restaurant operators. So if you want to see your favourite restaurants next month and you trust that they are taking all the necessary health precautions, try and stop by. Call them and see when they are quietest – your early week, early dinner could make all the difference.”

Book online and put “min contact” in the comments section so that you can pay in advance for the absolute minimum contact at the restaurant itself.
