Li Ka Shing Foundation Offers HK$200 Million to Struggling F&B Industry

The F&B industry is the first phase of focus for the local tycoon’s HK$1 billion Crunch Time Instant Relief Fund

Hong Kong business magnate and philanthropist Li Ka-shing, the founder of the eponymous Li Ka Shing Foundation (LKSF), has announced a donation of HK$1 billion in support of local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have been negatively affected by the political turmoil that has recently affected the city.

Dubbed the Crunch Time Instant Relief Fund, the first phase of the scheme has targeted a sector that’s very near and dear to Foodie’s heart – the F&B industry – with HK$200 million allocated. Each successful applicant will receive a grant of HK$60,000 to help to keep their business afloat.

The application period runs from 9am on Friday, 8 November, until 5pm on Sunday, 17 November 2019, with grant distribution from 26 November.
