Sustainable Seafood is now more available than ever. Celebrate with these restaurants in Kin Hong Seafood Festival in November

Do you know where your seafood comes from?  Where and how it is caught, is it pollution free, or were bad labor practices used to capture or cultivate those products? With the growth in organic food, transparency of supply chains, and the knowledge that Asia’s waters are some of the most diverse in the world, but also under some of the biggest stress from overfishing and pollution, we are excited to be bringing the Kin Hong Seafood Festival to Hong Kong in all of November! Kin Hong means “healthy” in Chinese, and represents both healthy fish, and healthy methods of catch or cultivation.

The aim of the festival is to raise public awareness about eating sustainable seafood, asking questions about where their seafood comes from, and letting the community know that they can make a positive difference for our ocean by choosing dishes which are “healthy” for the and environment.

We hope that you can be part of this exciting event, and can get out to enjoy this food from some of the over 30 restaurants, hotels and caterers involved who are all proud to be part of this new trend in food awareness which benefits all of us along the way. Some of those participating include:

Locofama

Locofama joins the health conscious community of Sai Ying Pun, serving delicious organic bites and dishes all day. By offering food that is at its nutritional and palatable peak, we are dedicated to providing options to support a healthier lifestyle, and we work closely with Hong Kong’s local farms to source “clean” fruits and vegetables free of pesticides and chemicals.

Since its opening in April 2015, it ranks amongst top "upstair" restaurants in Hong Kong by local foodies.
