Christmas Eve. The anticipation of the following day is palpable, excitement levels are high and people are buzzing. The air has a certain crispness, the lights seem a little brighter and family and friends are together enjoying mulled wine and Christmas movies.

But what is Christmas Eve without the angelic sound of Christmas Carols. We have an outstanding line up of Christmas Carols we want to share with you! Because, you know, Christmas is all about sharing.

1. The Festival Walk Christmas Carols

To kick off this joyfully festive afternoon; The Festival Walk Christmas Carols located on Level LG2 of the Christmas Ice Stage in Kowloon Tang. At 3:30pm the Voix Players Chamber Choir will be entertaining audiences with a spectacular line up of all of the favourite carols. Every day of December from now until Christmas has a sensational performance from various choirs and school groups that will leave you on a high note of festivities.

EAT: After a delightful afternoon of carols why not indulge in a sweet fix with some churros and chocolate from Cali-Mex in Mong Kok. Just over a 20 minute walk away, you won't feel so guilty eating such a sweet treat. But hey, it's Christmas Eve!

2. St John's Cathedral Christingle Service

If 3:30pm is too early to start the singing for you, then you can make your way to St John's Cathedral in Central for a 5:00pm performance of Christmas Carols. However this too is a popular destination so to get a good view you might want to get in early.

EAT: As the night is still young after your carols fix, a 10 minute walk to Lily & Bloom to quench your thirst (after the big walk) and to get you ready for the night ahead. With some of the most innovative cocktails in Lan Kwai Fong you are sure to have a very entertaining Christmas Eve.

EAT: We understand that Christmas Carols are a family event and so a bar to down some cocktails before a night out may not be the most child friendly of places. Suggested, then, is also a 10 minute walk to Holy Crab. With their new Christmas menu, available Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and a 5 course dinner priced at $720, this is an ideal way to spend your Christmas Eve.

3. Christmas Eve Carols at Kellett Island

The Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club is hosting a very special night of Christmas celebrations. Member's admission is free and guests cost $80 per person, however, available is free mince pies, mulled wine and hot chestnuts, and even fairy floss for the children, which is served around their beautiful 20ft Christmas tree with a spectacular backdrop of Hong Kong's Christmas lights! The event starts at 5:00pm, Santa will also be dropping in before his round trip later that night.

EAT: If you haven't gorged yourself with minced pies and mulled wine, then suggested is a trip up The Hennessey building to Wooloomooloo, one of Hong Kong's best rooftop bars in Wan Chai, 31 floors up (make sure you take a jacket). Being a relaxed bar, holding magnificent views of Hong Kong, with reasonably priced drinks, what a fun and classy way to spend this festive day! It's so good it rhymes.

4. Sky City Church Christmas Extravagala

To start getting into some of the later shows, for all you party people out there (because we all know how much people love to get down to Christmas carols), starting at 8:00pm is the Sky City Church Christmas Extravagala. Located on the 75th floor of the Central Plaza in Wan Chai, this formal event is a beautiful way to experience the Christmas feel with all the favourite carols whilst appreciating a stunning 360 degree view of Hong Kong. Amazing.

EAT: Before you experience the grandeur of carols on the top floor of a building, a dinner at MyHouse, a 15 minute walk away in Wan Chai, has an equally sophisticated yet funky vibe that serves European classics in a modern tapas-ey way. With a cool atmosphere, excellent wine and outstanding food, this restaurant is a must and goes perfectly with the vibe of the night.

5. Christmas Carol Christmas Wonderland

To venture a little farther than Hong Kong island is a trip to Discovery Bay to see over 20 vocalists perform 16 Christmas songs. Starting at 8.15-9.00pm on Christmas Eve in the main foyer of the Auberge Hotel in DB you can enjoy a night of singing with family and friends.

EAT: If you're looking for a meal before you head over to the carols, suggested is Koh Tomyums, about 5 minutes by car from the hotel. This Thai restaurant is very popular with stunning views of bay so make sure you book in advance.
