Hot on the heels of its Foodie Forks 2025 Best Italian Restaurant win, Primo Posto, Sheung Wan’s buzzy Milanese trattoria, has unveiled a lunch menu that’s an ode to the Italian city that inspires the eatery.

In a nod to the Milanese term schiscetta, translating to “lunchbox” in English, Primo Posto’s new “‘La Schiscetta di Milano” lunch menu is simple and straightforward, starring a trio of focaccia sandwiches (HKD88 each) that wouldn’t look out of place in Milan itself.

La Brea is the first sarnie contender, made with pancetta, Parmesan, mixed salad, and caramelised onion jam. Named after Milan’s most iconic landmark, Il Duomo is the next meaty number, this time featuring mortadella, Taleggio cream, frisée, and orange dressing. The upscale neighbourhood of Porta Romana in Milan gives its name to the final sandwich of the bunch, with fillings of Milanese salami, Pecorino, tomato, and green olive paste.
