Round 10 of Butchers Club Burger’s “Burger Takeover” takes off today, coincidentally, on France’s Bastille Day this July 14th. Although having nothing to do with vive la France, the burger takeover event is marked, as the French holiday is, with plenty of scrumptious eating.

Our press preview of the tonkatsu burger had us chortling with delight. Layered on a sweet fluffy brioche bun, the deep-fried pork katsu, is heavenly tender with an incredibly addictive crunch. Made with Kyushu pork, a breed of Japanese piggy renowned for its succulence, we were surprised by how “light” the burger tasted. Topped off with Tiger Curry’s famous sauce, sweet caramelised onions and crisp Japanese cabbage, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate burger indulgence!
