1. Rosanna Pansino’s Nerdy Nummies

This quirky home baker started her channel filming herself baking unusual treats in her own kitchen. Now, she has a whole production team behind the camera while she bakes and creates treats inspired by various games, films and TV shows. She also collaborates with other YouTubers for challenge videos (all based on food of course!). Rosanna recently published a cookbook called Nerdy Nummies, which is a collection of recipes of all her scrummy treats. Check out her channel here.

2. Donal Skehan

This Dubliner is a food writer, photographer and television presenter who has been inspired by his food-loving family – who have been involved in the food industry for more than 60 years. After a short run as a band member, he soon realised that food was his true passion, creating his blog The Good Mood Food Blog. Donal has come a long way, receiving the award for the Best Irish Food Blog in 2009. His bubbly personality comes through on the screen, and there is something very authentic about his cooking that makes you want to watch video after video. Check out his channel here.

3. Gordon Ramsay

This internationally renowned chef needs no introduction. After creating his massive restaurant empire, Gordon has branched out to television, starring on many shows such as MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen. On TV we usually see him as quite an abrasive personality who swears a lot. On his YouTube channel, however, we see a different, more playful side to him. Watch Gordon as he goes around the world looking for exotic ingredients, shares useful tips for cooking at home and cooks some of his most sought-after recipes. Check out his channel here.

4. Munchies

Munchies is a new food channel from the news outlet VICE. It spotlights everything and anything about the world of food: chefs and home cooks, politics and personalities, restaurant life, pop culture and breaking news. With a diverse variety of recipes, city food guides and just interesting videos all round, this channel caters for anybody with a passion for food. Check it out here.

5. SORTEDfood

These sprightly Brits describe themselves as ‘four mates who love to cook’. Originally started as a bit of fun around a pub table, this channel has quickly become the largest cooking conversation on YouTube. These YouTubers pride themselves on their symbiotic relationship with the viewer – they love to take inspiration from their viewers, who can suggest new recipes and ideas on their website. Check out their channel here

6. Everyday Food

Everyday Food is a hilariously entertaining and down-to-earth collection of instructional videos. Editor and host Sarah Carey, who works for lifestyle queen Martha Stewart, takes you through a range of cooking styles. If you’re looking for recipes that lean on the health-conscious side (omitting gluten or less-starchy ingredients or for those with allergies, for example), Sarah’s videos will be right down your alley. She’s quick to point out that she’s not intending to do anything seriously fancy-schmancy in her kitchen, cooking delicious recipes that anyone can recreate at home. Check out Sarah’s channel here.

7. Tasty

Known for their instructional, fast-paced videos, Tasty is the place to go to watch mouth-watering recipes being cooked that you’ll want to eat immediately – but honestly will probably never make yourself. Each video is around 50 seconds long, and they rely on text instead of sound to convey information. All the recipes are creative plays on more traditional recipes – their spinach dip mozzarella sticks and cookies and cream puffs are amongst are faves. Check out their channel here.
